Surf.Physio is a Physiotherapy clinic based out of URBNSURF Sydney. We offer high quality physiotherapy and injury management services to surfers and local community alike. Physiotherapy Services
Within the physiotherapy appointments we offer a range of services depending on your needs. This includes Injury assessment, rehabilitation programs, sports screening, biomechanical analysis, injury prevention programs, mobility training, movement re-education and strength programs. We offer a range of treatments including, massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling, myofascial release, cupping, taping and more.
What do we Treat?
Head and Neck: Neck pain, headaches, concussion management, nerve pain.
Shoulders: Rotator cuff tears, subacromial impingement syndrome, bursitis, shoulder dislocations, posterior shoulder instability, post surgical rehabilitation.
Elbow Pain: Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis), Golfers Elbow (medial epicondylitis), elbow fractures, nerve impingement
Back Pain: Low back pain, disc bulges, facet joint irritation, rib irritation, nerve pain, stress fractures, spondylolythesis.
Hip Pain: Labral tears, osteoarthritis, femoroacetabular impingement, gluteal tendinopathy, hip displaysia, stress fractures.

Appointment types
New Patient Consultation and Treatment
This your first appointment with a practitioner for a specific issue. The appointment involves a thorough history taking of previous and current injury history, a comprehensive assessment of all potential contributing factors, then targeted treatment and specific exercise prescription.

Follow up physiotherapy appointments involves a review of the progress since the previous appointment. There will be a re-assessment of the key finding from the previous appointment to track progress. Then any hands-on treatment indicated to help relieve pain or improve mobility and then a review and ideally a progression of the current exercise or rehab program.
ultimate treatment & Recovery Session
This session is designed for those without a specific injury or complaint who want maximum amount of quality treatment time. This session aims to help with flexibility, joint mobility and muscle recovery. Depending on your preferences you will get a combination of hands on soft tissue work, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisation, myofascial release and assisted stretching.
Ultimate Surf Screen
The Ultimate Surf screen is a comprehensive screen that looks at all the key physical elements that contribute being able to get into the positions required for optimal surfing. It also screens common areas of pain or injury in surfers to identify key areas of improvement and help prevent niggles and injuries. The surf screen involves the screen, discussion of results and prescription of a post screen exercise program based on key findings.
These appointments are for patients who cannot attend a face-to-face appointment due to distance, availability or health reasons. In these appointments we can take a thorough injury history, do a visual assessment with movement and range of motion and then give education and advice on how to best manage the injury and send through rehabilitation exercises specific to your injury or pain.
